Course Reflection

Where did you create this artifact?

This was learned between a combination of school learning and real-world experiences in my current position.

What did you learn?

During the length of this course, we learned several aspects of client server relationships, along with how to set up servers, and many different services that can be run on the servers.

How did you learn this?

This was learned through step-by-step guides given to us by the course instructor. These lessons were reinforced for me by being able to work closely with systems engineers at my company to assist in setting up new servers as needed.

What were some challenges that you overcame?

Understanding what things can be changed on live systems that do not require a full reboot was one of the hardest things to learn and remember, especially when working in a live system and environment.  This became evident while working on my private test environment at home, and lessons were learned that I am able to bring into my work life.

How will you apply this information in the future?

As someone who currently works in the information technology, I will continue to build upon what was learned in this course, not only in the ways of building and maintaining servers and workstations, but in securing them also.

Artifact

This video shows an overview of completed final project for this course, where i stood up a server and setup DHCP, and other services for an enterprise system.
