Where did you create this artifact?
This research paper was put together over a semester long series of assignments. This was part of the final for my course entitled Technology futures.
What did you learn?
I learned new ways to verify and validate information found when researching subjects.
How did you learn this?
Through a comprehensive research project where we learned different methods to validate and classify sources of information for a specific topic.
What were some challenges that you overcame?
Learning new methods of research, along with ways to vet information was new to me. It took a bit for me to understand the methods used, along with how best to use them once they were found.
How will you apply this information in the future?
With the skills in research that I learned throughout this course, I will be able to take those skills and apply them to anything that I am trying to gather information about. For instance, if someone is looking for a new piece of software, knowing how to find the information on it, along with some of the better methods to vet the information about the software will come in handy rather than just installing some random pieces of software. This can help increase security within my company.
