This artifact was created in a course entitled Operational Disruption management.
What did you learn?
Through the entirety of this course we learned about different types of disruptions that can occur within a company and examined different ways to handle said disruptions.
How did you learn this?
This was learned through not only reading materials and group discussions, but also by creating a full business continuity plan from the ground up for a company.
What were some challenges that you overcame?
Spending time examining a company and their current continuity plans, along with trying to maintain an unbiased viewpoint while putting together from the ground up. Then taking this information and putting it to use in a format that can be given to specific levels of management in a form that they can use to make informed decisions.
How will you apply this information in the future?
As someone who is working in the Information security world, I will take what was learned in this course and apply it to my current position and assist with updating, testing and modification of my company’s current continuity plans.
